The beach Glykoriza is located a little before Pythagoreio. Over the beach you can find the Hotel Glykoriza from which the beach got its name from. This beach has a Blue Flag and you can find a lifeguard from 9am till 5pm.
You can have a drink, a coffee or a meal from the beach bar and the restaurant which the hotel provides. It also has Parking space. The beach has very small pebbles and the inside the water there is sand.
The rather small beach (about 400m) Lemonakia with pebbles which is located about 12 km from the capital of the island, its water isn't very deep, but is very clean and unprotected by the norther winds which raise large waves when blown.
The beach is located a little out of the outskirt road of the north coast of the island which connects Samos town with Karlovasi a little out of Kokkari, right next to the beach Tsamadou.
The extensive beach (almost 3km) Mykali with thick pebbles is located about 7 km south from the capital, it has water of medium depth, but very clean and well protected on the southeast coast of the island.

The large beach (about 3.000m in width) with sand and pebbles Potokaki and Doryssa is located in front of the well known resort, about 14 km southwest of the capital near Pythagoreio, 3-4 km west, with medium depth water and protected by the bay of Pytharogeio on the southeast coast of the island.
This beach is very well organised (it has been rewarded with the Blue Flag many times) and offers you a nice swim in a beautiful sea in a near distance from the capital, next to Pythagoreio and with many utilities and comforts for swimming, sunbathing and water sports. Because of the beach being so big you can easily find parts with less people for a comfortable and quiet swim.
The small beach (about 400m) Tsamadou with pebbles is located about 12,5 km northwest from the capital of the island, doesn't have very deep water, but is very clean and unprotected from the north winds which raise large waves when blown.
